YMCA’S KIDS HEALTHY DAY
Where/When: YMCA of Mission Viejo, 27341 Trabuco Circle, Mission Viejo, CA. Saturday, April 16, 10-1 p.m.
Why Go: Families all over the nation can participate in Kids Healthy Day at their local YMCA. Sports, games, giant inflatables, face painting, healthy snacks, an interactive DJ show, open swim and water safety classes will be available at this fun and educational event.

PET EXPO
Where/When: OC Fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa. Friday, April 15, 10-6 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 10-7 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 10-6 p.m..
Why Go: This is the largest pet expo in the world! Over 1,000 animals will entertain their fans during stage shows and demonstrations. Dogs, cats, birds, fish, goats, reptiles and mini horses are just a few of the animals that can be seen during this fun three-day event. Pet adoptions, pet product sales and how-to workshops will also be available on site.
Pricing: $12 admission per adult, $6 admission/kids age 6-12, kids 5 and under are FREE.
SILVERADO CHILDREN’S CENTER ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFF
Where/When: Irvine Lake, 4621 Santiago Canyon Road, Orange, CA. Sunday, April 17, 11-4 p.m.
Why Go: Come out and support the Silverado Children’s Center while tasting some of the best chili around. In addition to the cook off, families can enjoy games, prizes, live music, vendor expos and other foods and drinks.

ANNUAL SPRINGTACULAR KIDS EVENT
Where/When: Borders Book and Music, 22372 El Paseo, Rancho Santa Margarita. Saturday, April 16, 2 p.m.
Why Go: Celebrate spring during this fun, interactive event. Stories, crafts and games are just a few of the activities kids can enjoy. Best suited for kids ages 3-8 years.

21ST ANNUAL EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Where/When: Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center, 2301 University Drive, Newport Beach. Sunday, April 17, 10-4 p.m.
Why Go: The interpretive center is located in the center of Newport Bay, surrounded by vast hiking trails and stunning views. The center is open year-round for kids to enjoy interactive displays, plants and animals, but during this special educational event, kids can also partake in face painting, scavenger hunts, live music, documentaries and drawings for great prizes as they celebrate Earth Day.
