Police Blotter: If It Hits the Fan, It's Bad; If It Hits Your Residence, It's Worse

Also, a suspicious piece of hair, and a Bible story.

We've seen it in the movies, a flaming bag of you-know-what left at a door for an unsuspecting victim to stomp out. Maybe we've used the expression about it hitting the fan, as well.

But a man in Las Flores has a real problem.

It seems that a neighbor of his has been throwing bags of feces at his residence. It didn't stop at just one bag. It has happened repeatedly.

The victim, though, is in the dark. He doesn't know which neighbor is targeting him.

Apparently, he either thinks he's well-liked but he's not, or there are so many people who don't like him he doesn't know where to start pointing fingers.

It's a real stinker of a problem, for sure.

The complaint to the Orange County Sheriff came in a little after 8 p.m. on Friday, from Tradition Lane.

Suspicious vehicle makes Jack's customer nervous

An informant was about to leave the Jack in the Box parking lot in Las Flores Sunday night when he noticed a car pull into the lot. The caller was concerned because he saw a long strand of blond hair peeking out of the car’s trunk.

When deputies arrived at the fast food location, the suspicious vehicle was gone.

The call came in around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, from Oso Parkway and Antonio Parkway.

Too old to pass out Bibles?

Billy Graham is not going to like this police report when he gets wind of it. A caller wanted a sheriff deputy to look for a man in his seventies who was loitering on a trail near Las Flores Elementary School. The problem: the man was passing out Bibles to students.

The caller believed the man was too old to be doing this and thought it seemed suspicious.

Since this is an area where youths often throw things at cars—water balloons, eggs, etc.—maybe the elderly evangelist was using the trail to make the streets safer.

The call came Friday, 4:03 p.m., on Oso Parkway and Meandering Trail.

I hate the unmanned toll booths. I think that's one of every driver's fear right there, but who among us would actually stop for a guy waving his arms in the median like that -- and then would pay his toll? I gotta believe I'd probably drive through...

Martin, I have been "stuck" in a similar situation when I didn't have a transponder, and I was day dreaming, and missed the toll booth exit.
I just called the Toll Roads right when i got home, told them the situation, time and location, my plate number, and mailed them them toll...no fine was issues. The key was that I called RIGHT AWAY.

They did inform me that they could only do this one time. I also ordered a transponder LOL.

I wonder if anyone else has tollroad stories??? I'd love to hear them. Once I went through and told them I didn't have enough money with me. They gave me some stuff to make a call to get squared away.

I have one from a Toll Bridge long ago.
I was a teenager, and I live in the Bay Area. At the time, I temporarily working and living in San Rafeal, and was headed back to San Rafael, from Concord where i was hanging out with some friends. While attempting to cross the Richmond Bridge...I could not find my wallet......OH Shite. I dug around everywhere for some cash..no luck, just a few pennies in the astray, and a nickle under the seat.
I think the toll was a buck fifty.....The toll booth guy would not let me pass. They stopped all traffic, and made me turn around. It was about midnight. I must have lost my wallet while out with some friends that evening.
Long story shorter, I thought well their has to be a way around this Bay....not all the bridges can can be a toll bridge. WRONG. I think the next bridge I came to was the Carquinez Bridge, same deal...this time the guy gave me an envelope to mail the cash in.. long story short, I gave up, and ended up panhandling the buck fifty to cross the Richmond San Rafael Bridge. LOL
