Police Blotter: Woman Concerned About Man Leering at Kids

Also, leaping from buildings it's a bird, it's a plane, it's ... a lot of birds and a lot of planes.

 

An informant was eating inside Subway in Rancho Santa Margarita late Tuesday afternoon, when she noticed a suspicious looking man hunched over the trunk of his smoky gray Toyota.

The woman said she saw the man leer at small children who were walking in the parking lot, according to call made to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The call came in around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, from Santa Margarita Parkway and Avenida de las Flores.

They thought they were the Gen-X Men

A caller wanted deputies to look for a group of 20 youths who were climbing on buildings and jumping onto plants. Deputies were unable to locate the energetic teens.

The call came in around 3 p.m. Wednesday, from Arroyo Vista and Avenida de las Banderas.

The following is a summary report of calls from Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon and Las Flores to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from January 31 to February 2.

Family Dispute 8:43 p.m. Thursday, on Pinzon. A caller said her neighbors were yelling and throwing things around their residence.

Warrant Arrest 7:03 p.m. Thursday, on Via Amistosa. Deputies arrested a 20-year-old man, who was released on his own recognizance from the Intake Release Center.

Suspicious Person in Vehicle 7:37 a.m. Thursday, on Robinson Ranch Road and Plano Trabuco Road. A caller said two men in their 20s in a white van with black markings around the windows kept driving up and down his street.

Drunk in Car 7:41 p.m. Wednesday, on Bloomfield Lane. A woman said her 51-year-old ex-husband had been sitting in his vehicle, drinking, since 1 p.m. The Orange County Fire Authority escorted the man to Mission Hospital.

Disturbance 3:02 p.m. Wednesday, on Via Contento. A man called police on his roommate in the middle of an argument in which the caller felt threatened; the roommate was outside yelling at the informant to get the rent money.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 2:43 p.m. Tuesday, on Mistletoe. A woman said a man in a white truck pulled over and asked her 11-year-old son if he wanted a ride home.

Welfare Check 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, on Rosa. A woman said she was on the phone with her 25-year-old son, who said he was intoxicated and seemed suicidal.
