Snow Day Makes For A Hot Time in Rancho Santa Margarita
There's a breath of winter as Snow Day brings out the kids—and plenty of pint-sized snowmen.
Snow Day in Rancho Santa Margarita was a success as Central Park was covered with a blanket of snow on Feb. 4. The park was also covered with kids—and adults—who felt the cold stuff and built the good stuff: little snowmen decorated the landscape.
Snow Day was presented by SAMLARC. Click the video to see photos, provided by Dr. Dana Rockey, of the event.

This is quite nice that Rancho Santa Margarita offers this fun for the younger children as many other cities also provide! Kudos

It's a cool event for the city's residents but it was provided by SAMLARC, not the city. (Get it, cool event?)

Got it Martin, it was cool and I already understood!
SAMLARC provides many events such as the summer music series to our city which would otherwise come out of a city's budget.

Uh McCook, the summer concert series is a city event paid for from the city's budget. SAMLARC participates.

You could have fooled me! I see SAMLARC totally running the music series!
Either way, Mr. McCook is a straight forward breath of fresh air to our city and he brings international private sector business experience unlike any of the incumbents. The incumbents who look down their noses at citizens which try to express their objections at council meetings!
I am sure that Rancho Santa Margarita voters will be taking a much closer look this year at our city allocations and expenditures! A publicized list of some these allocations of taxpayer money will come as a complete shock to many voters.
And also, I have been reading Patch for a year now and observe that you protect these incumbents while hiding behind an alias! It is time for a change on our council!

Gloria Conrad, John Huddleston and Richard Grainger seem to be the only people who are vocally supporting Larry McCook. They must know each other REALLY well as they say virtually the same thing in their posts. ;)
Oh, and "international business experience?" McCook has been promising a "Fortune 500" company for RSM forever now, at least every time there is an election. Just a bunch of empty promises by another empty suit.
Who else is running for city council other than McCook? There HAS to be an option.

Callahan,
As a matter of fact I do know Mr. McCook very well as do quite a number of other registered voters in our city! Yes, I do know one of the above mentioned RSM Patriot Bloggers!
You either have a convenient memory , lack of verbal comprehension or a vendetta against Mr. McCook. You are entitled to any of these or to all of the three.
He clearly stated about six-seven months ago that he was beginning a 2 to 3 year program (quest) to bring a major business to RSM rather than wait until after the upcoming election. I personally know that he is working on this and his work is not costing Rancho Santa Margarita one penny. There are people in our city that are aware that he is working on this project. This a problem for you and you criticize someone who is working for free?
He also is introducing cost saving ideas to salvage some of our RSM taxpayers money.
May I ask why you are so negative about his effort to help our city? Is it because he is so outspoken and doesn't hide behind a cloak of anonymity? Perhaps he doesn't comb his hair the way you would like to see it or not the choice of the "perceived RSM political power brokers" in our small city? He is not politically motivated but, dogmatic in his attempt to help our city. Have a problem with this?
He demonstrated positive action locally and statewide for six years on behalf of our schools and there are dozens of people to back this up.
It is obvious that you do not know him or you would not be so negative.
