Rainbow Girls Assembly to Hold Installation of Officers on Feb. 6

Victoria Scherer will be installed as Worthy Advisory of Infinity Assembly of the International Order of the Rainbow for girls in Lake Forest. With the theme “One Shoe Can Change A Girls World,” Victoria, along with more than a dozen appointed officers will assume new stations for a four-month term.

The assembly has members who live in Trabuco Canyon, Foothill Ranch, Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake Forest, Laguna, Aliso Viejo and San Clemente.

Victoria Scherer grew up in Mission Viejo and is now a freshman at Cal State Fullerton, where she studies elementary education with a goal of becoming a kindergarten teacher. She is a 2012 graduate of Capistrano Valley High School and enjoys singing, performing, baking and traveling. In her senior year of high school, Victoria held the lead role in the musical, Footloose, and received the Spirit of Cougar award. She joined Rainbow in April of 2008.  She also serves all of California Rainbow as a Grand officer.  She holds the title of Grand Honorary Drill Leader and Representative to Washington, Idaho, Australia and the Orient Pacific.

During her term, Infinity assembly will participate in a statewide service project to raise funds for the Barry R. Kirschner Wildlife Foundation in Butte County, CA. They also plan to attend a convention in Fresno, CA, take a mystery trip, assist with a reading program at an elementary school, make Valentine’s Day cards for widows, make and deliver gifts to patients at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and host a mother daughter tea in May.

The International Order of Rainbow for Girls prepares the girls of today to be the leaders of tomorrow. Emphasis is placed on building self confidence, respect, poise, patriotism, fidelity, integrity, and leadership skills, all while serving the community, having fun and making friendships. I'm still waiting for the teachers to produce a receipt for purchases made with MY money.Read More Asking/requiring donations of $20-25.00 a head in a 32 kid classroom is a nice $800.00 potential windfall of which I see nothing of where that $$ is spent.
