“Reality” Stars on Sale May 16-17

Digital media may be all the rage, but there’s nothing like leafing through a “real” coffee-table book or a scrumptiously illustrated cookbook. Holding a beloved book in your hands, caressing its cover and reviewing its well-worn pages is an experience that can’t be matched with computer generated pages. Replenish your supply of “reality” reading material at the Rancho Santa Margarita Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale May 16 and 17 in the RSM Library community room, 30902 La Promesa.

“We’ve gathered a ton of gently used bestsellers for kids and teens, as well as hundreds of topnotch how-to guides, histories, biographies and home schooling aids,” says Janet Gahagan, FOL President, who is organizing the semi-annual sale.  “We also have some great signed and rare books for the collectors out there. Whether you’re looking for a special art book, words of inspiration or some light beach reading, you’ll find wonderful choices at great prices.”

All books in the sale are donated by members of the community. Volunteers process and sell the books and all proceeds are donated to the RSM Library. The money generated is used to fund things like summer reading programs, supplement the library’s book budget and pay for special purchases like new tables for the community room.
