St. John's to Celebrate 25 Years
St. John's Episcopal School will host an anniversary celebration this Thursday, September 19, at 8:15 a.m., twenty-five years to the day that the school first opened its doors to students in 1988.
RSM Mayor Tony Beall and OC Supervisor, 5th District Pat Bates will be on hand to celebrate with proclamations on behalf of the local community. St. John’s students and parents will participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony in the courtyard, followed by a program in the gym featuring remarks by The Rt. Rev. Mary Glasspool, Bishop Suffragan of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles.
Using the school’s theme for the year—25 Years of Making a Difference—as inspiration, the event will also serve as the official launch of St. John's 25 Acts of Gratitude Campaign. This unique service campaign is a way for St. John’s to show appreciation and give back to the local community for supporting the school throughout its 25 year history. Connections within the community are central to St. John’s mission to educate and build character.
