Free Community Electronic Waste Collection Event

Rancho Santa Margarita residents have the chance to go green as Sukyo Mahikari Center for Spiritual Development partners with Living Green Recycling to host an E-waste recycling collection event on July 8, 2012 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Sukyo Mahikari Center for Spiritual Development location at 23151 Camino Altozano, Rancho Santa Margarita. The event is free and open to the public and anyone who is interested in disposing their E-waste in a safe and secure environment. Free data destruction is available.

What is E-waste? The VCR you haven’t used since you got the new DVD player, the dated laptop in the closet, the dust-covered monitor in your garage, or basically anything with a plug that is unused, obsolete or non-working. Living Green Recycling accepts TVs, VCRs, stereos, computers, monitors, cell phones, laptops, MP3 players, printers, network servers, hard drives, ink and toner cartridges, cables and wires, and other electronic equipment--anything with a plug and circuit board will be accepted.  No large appliances, alkaline batteries, light bulbs, pharmaceuticals or toxic waste.
