Final Day of Holiday Weekend Should be Worthwhile Weather-wise

Weather should cooperate for those coming, going, or trying to fit in a last little bit of fun before the grind begins on Tuesday.

It's George Washington's birthday, so you know that the meteorologists at the National Weather Service wouldn't lie about today's forecast.

It should be mostly sunny today with a high of around 59 degrees. The winds will be calm, in the neighborhood of 5 mph.

In the evening, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 41 and continued light winds. The Weather Channel projects a low of 38 degrees, so it will be plenty cold once the sun goes down.

On the first day back to work after the Presidents Day weekend, it will again be mostly sunny, slightly warmer at 61 degrees, and again very light wind.

There's a slight chance of showers later in the week, the first real measurable rainfall probably arriving on Friday.
