LIBRARY PUPPET SHOW

Where/When: , 30902 La Promesa, Rancho Santa Margarita. Thursday, July 14, 3:30 and 7 p.m.

Why Go: Puppet Art Theater is back for another spectacular show, presenting Three Billy Goats Gruff, a classic tale with a slight twist. Space is limited; arrive 15 minutes early. Appropriate for all ages.

MY GYM SUMMER CAMP

Why Go: Mom can enjoy a much-deserved break while kids enjoy an afternoon of fun that includes gymnastics, games, relays, arts and crafts, story time, music, sports and much more. Juice and snack also included. Call ahead to reserve your child’s spot.

Pricing: $35/per day for members; $40 per day for non-members. Price decreases if child attends full week.

SUMMER CONCERT SERIES KICK-OFF

Where/When: Central Park, Rancho Santa Margarita. Sunday, July 17, 6-8 p.m.

Why Go: The Rancho Santa Margarita summer concert series kicks off this weekend with Mark Wood and The Parrot Head Band, a tribute to Jimmy Buffet. Bring the whole family down, along with your blankets, chairs and snacks for a great summer time treat.

CARL'S JR. 70-CENT FAMOUS STAR DAY

Where/When: Carls Jr. Restaurant, 20552 Lake Forest Drive, Lake Forest. Sunday, July 17; all day.

Why Go: Carl's Jr. is celebrating 70 years in business by offering 70 cent Famous Star sandwiches. Carl Karcher first launched his business by opening a hot dog cart on July 17, 1941. He moved to Orange County years later and started the Carl's Jr. chain. Take your kids out for a cheap burger by ordering your coupons at www.carlsjr.com/email_signup. Must sign up by July 14 and redeem only on July 17.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Where/When: Glen Yermo Elementary School, 26400 Trabuco Road, Mission Viejo. Monday, July 18 through Friday, July 22. 9:30 a.m.-noon.

Why Go: Rock Harbor South County Church is offering a free Vacation Bible School for kids ages 4-12 this summer. Kids can enjoy games, snacks, crafts, stories and more during this fun week. To sign up, go to the Rock Harbor website and fill out the registration form, then bring it with you on the first day.
