PRETEND CITY FAMILY NIGHT OUT

Why Go: Young children and their parents can enjoy a special family night out as they experience Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. After an interactive reading of this popular novel by Judi Barrett, kids will have a chance to make their own fluffy cloud project and then watch the film at the “drive in.”

Pricing: $11 Admission per adults and children; infants 12 months and younger are FREE.

DOLLAR MOVIES

Where/When: Woodbridge Movies 5, Barranca, Irvine. Daily show times.

Why Go: Missed Kung Fu Panda 2, Monte Carlo starring Disney’s Selena Gomez, Zookeeper starring Kevin James or the summer smash hit Transformers: Dark of the Moon? No worries; now you and your kids can enjoy these flicks at a fraction of the cost. Don’t forget your dollar hot dogs inside!

Pricing: $2 admission per person; $1 per person on Tuesdays, 3D movies are $4.

KINDERFEST AT OLD WORLD

Where/When: Old World, 7561 Center Ave, #49, Huntington Beach. Sunday, September 25, noon to 7:30 p.m.

Why Go:  This “kids” version of Oktoberfest is sure to be a hit for parents and kids alike. Enjoy a live oomp-pah band, Dodo the chicken, bounce house, carnival games and dachshund races at 3 p.m. Barbecue food also available for a nominal fee.

Pricing: $5 per adult; $3 per child 6-12; kids 5 and under FREE.

T SPOONS

Where/When:  T Spoons, 6 Gilly Flower, Ladera Ranch. Saturday, September 24, 11 a.m.

Why Go: Kids ages 4-8 will enjoy making a three course lunch including appetizer, entrée and dessert with their parents; afterward they will get to eat their creation.
