Why Go: This carnival is free and fun for the whole family! Enjoy inflatables, giveaways, balloons, face painting, carnival games, music, cotton candy and chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A, all at no cost! The highlight of the event will be a meet and greet at 1 p.m. with Noah Munck, also known as “Gibby” on the popular Nickelodeon TV show “iCarly.”

FATHERS DAY CUPCAKE DECORATING
Where/When: Dana Point Community Center, 34052 Del Obispo Street, Dana Point. Saturday, June 18, 10 a.m.
Why Go: Dads and kids can bond over cupcakes at this deliciously fun event. A cake decorating specialist will show participants how to decorate cupcakes with a special Father’s Day theme. Bring a dozen unfrosted cupcakes to participate; a $10 material fee per person is required.

MOVIES IN THE PARK
Where/When: Lantern Bay Park, 25111 Park Lantern Rd, Dana Point. Friday, June 17, 8 p.m.
Why Go: Skip the crowded, pricey theaters and spend the evening enjoying a movie under the stars. Bring your lawn chairs and watch Shrek Forever After (rated PG) with the whole family. Refreshments are available for purchase on site and include candy, soda and hot cocoa.
Pricing: FREE. Food available for a nominal fee.
KARAOKE, FOOD AND FUN FAMILY NIGHT
Where/When: Staybridge Suites Hotel, 2 Orchard, Lake Forest (near the Town Center in Foothill Ranch) Saturday, June 18, 6-10 p.m.
Why Go: Bond with the family over karaoke and delicious food while helping a good cause. This event is put on by KWCF, or Kids Who Care Foundation, which aids in cheering kids hospital-bound with chronic medical conditions, particularly the very painful pancreatitis, for which there is no cure.
Pricing: $20 per person 15 years and older, $10 per person age 5-14; tickets can be purchased online or are $5 more at the door.
