Grab 'n Go Planner: Halloween Festivals Galore!
Halloween is just around the corner; it's time to dig out those costumes and check out one of the fun and free fall events we've found this weekend.
OC GREAT PARK TRICK OR TREAT EVENT
Where/When: OC Great Park, Sand Canyon and Marine Way, Irvine. Saturday, October 22, 10-3 p.m.
Why Go: Dress the kids in costume and come down for a good time. Event includes train rides, petting zoo, story time, an entire Trick or Treat town, hay maze and much more. Bring canned goods to help fight hunger and receive a special commemorative Great Park pin.

Pricing: Admission is FREE. Parking $10 per car.
DOLLAR MOVIES

Why Go: If you missed this summer’s blockbusters at the theater, go see them for a fraction of the price at the dollar theater. Spy Kids, Smurfs, Captain America, Cars 2 and Harry Potter are all playing now; at such a low price, you can afford to see them all!
Pricing: $2 per person; $1 per person on Tuesdays. 3D movies are $4.
LOWE'S BUILD AND GROW WORKSHOP
Where/When: , 30481 Avenida De Las Flores, Rancho Santa Margarita. Saturday, October 22, 10 a.m.
Why Go: Kids can make a Halloween monster truck this week out of a wooden kit; truck includes flashing lights and glow in the dark stickers. Each child also receives a free apron, goggles, a special patch and a certificate of merit upon completion.

HALLOWEEN HAPPENING
Where/When: , 30902 La Promesa, Rancho Santa Margarita. Saturday, October 22, 1-3 p.m.
Why Go: Kids can enjoy crafts, games, pumpkin contests and more Halloween fun at this special family event. Costumes are encouraged.

ST. JOHN’S FALL FUN EVENT
Where/When: Early Childhood Center, 30382 Via Con Dios, Rancho Santa Margarita. Thursday, October 27, 10:15-11 a.m.
Why Go: Kids age 2-5 can participate in games, crafts and special fall activities and then check out the new playground at the early childhood center. Each child will receive a special goodie bag; no costumes, please.
