El Pollo Loco is offering some new items this fall, including the Spicy Chipotle Burrito. The entree is packed with grilled chicken, rice, pinto beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, fresh cilantro, jack cheese and spicy fire roasted chipotle salsa. Unlike those $10 burritos at sit-down restaurants, it will fill you up without draining your wallet.

Mickey D’s has come a long way since the days when Happy Meals and colorful playgrounds lured kids in and moms had to settle for a burger and fries. In fact, with their new line of salads and coffees, they may just be one of the smartest fast food chains around. With over a dozen healthy salads to choose from, there’s something on the menu for every mom. The new Southwest Salad with Grilled Chicken is surprisingly delicious, filling and healthy, weighing in at less than 300 calories. It includes tomatoes, corn, black beans, poblano peppers, cheddar and jack cheese, chili lime tortilla strips, grilled chicken, fresh mixed greens and a lime wedge to top it off.

Remember the college days when dinner consisted of two greasy, delicious Jack in the Box tacos for a buck? Welp, they’ve still got ‘em. But since you’re all grown up now, you can feel good about ordering off the kids’ menu too. Kids Meal Combos include choice of burger, cheeseburger, chicken strips or breakfast Jack as well as seasoned curly fries, regular french fries or, for health conscious folks, a bag of apple bites and milk instead of soda.

If it’s a burger you’re craving but you don’t have time to sit down, try the new, limited-time only California Whopper Jr. With fresh guacamole, melted Swiss cheese, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and mayo, it will set you back 430 calories but fill you up. Top your dinner off with a Frozen Coke or Frozen Cherry Drink for just a buck. With a price like that, you can afford to get one for the whole soccer team.
