Patch to Join Web-Wide Moment of Silence for Sandy Hook Victims

The web-wide tribute is scheduled to occur at 9:30 a.m. Eastern time, 6:30 a.m. Pacific time

If you happen upon Rancho Santa Margarita Patch Friday morning, and you're not seeing our front page, here's why:

Patch, along with AOL, its parent company, is scheduled to join numerous websites in a tribute Friday to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims.

The SOPA-style blackout is set to occur at 9:30 a.m. Eastern time, 6:30 a.m Pacific time Friday.

According to Tech Crunch, the campaign was inspired by a call for a moment of silence by Connecticut’s Governor, and spearheaded by Causes and SV Angel.
