What does Huell being a 'Marine' have to do with any of this??? heh. Really, I don't get your point. To me Huell was a TV personality. That's all he was to me. He was entertaining. That is simply not enough to persuade me to go to his memorial, Tommy. If it is for you, fine. Then go. It's not for me. I didn't even know Huell outside his TV character. Am I supposed to worship him or something? What exactly do you expect from me? I am a veteran myself. And I applaud Huell for his service. Still, that is not enough to make me go to his memorial. I only go to memorials for friends and family. Is that okay with you, Tommy. Or should I change my views on life to please you? So how does that make me a "coward"? You have a very strange thought process.

Apologies to others for the harsh language. This Justus character is just really , really , really annoying like a fly that just keeps buzzing around and landing In your dinner.I guess I just really enjoyed the show and it was a mix of the sleepy towns and the upbeat host alway digging for something interesting. It's a bummer. And so is mr annoying man. RIP Huell !!!

Always enjoyed Huell and his out of the way California gems that he would stumble upon and then get the story about. Cool, quirky spots that make the real California what it is to those of us who were born here, and those who visit. He always seemed so interested and excited to tell the story of an obscure landmark. ps- PBS is not so nerdy when you compare it to the rest of the crap on TV.
