Rancho Santa Margarita Woman Wins $500 in Tolls

Anna Davis of Rancho Santa Margarita was one of two winners of a monthly promotion by The Toll Roads.

Davis, along with Ned Reyes of San Juan Capistrano, won $500 in free tolls for having been named the winner of the January contest.

Both regularly use the toll roads and had the $500 credited to their FasTrak accounts.

Davis is a clerical supervisor who has been a FasTrak account holder since 2004 and uses the toll road to get to and from work and church. Her winning transaction, picked randomly among all toll road users in Orange County, took place on Jan. 6 on the southbound 241 at the Tomato Springs Mainline Toll Plaza.

“The Toll Roads save me time during my commute and are wonderful for my work/life balance,” she said.  “When I found out that I won $500 in free tolls, I felt tremendously blessed!”

Reyes is a posting agent who takes The Toll Roads during his daily commute to work in Pomona.  A FasTrak account holder since the 73 Toll Road opened in 1996, Ned’s winning transaction took place on Jan. 13 at the 133 Toll Road’s northbound Orange Grove Mainline Toll Plaza.

“I use The Toll Roads because they save me time and offer a more efficient route,” Reyes said. “$500 will surely go a long way in helping my family, especially since we are paying for college for two sons and a third will start college in the fall!” 

Since the $500-in-free-tolls sweepstakes started in October 2011, 63,413 FasTrak accountholders have registered to be eligible to win. The Toll Roads revamped and re-launched its popular $1,000-in-free-tolls sweepstakes giveaway to award $500-in-free-tolls to two lucky FasTrak drivers each month. Each month, trips are tracked and, after the end of the month, two winners will be randomly selected until the promotion ends on Sept. 30, 2012.

TCA FasTrak accountholders need to login to their account online or go to thetollroads.com/500 to begin the registration process.  Once registered, they will be automatically entered to win every time they drive the 73, 133, 241 or 261 Toll Roads, the more they drive, the more times their account number is entered into that month’s drawing. If drivers do not already have a TCA FasTrak account, they can establish one at TheTollRoads.com or the FasTrak Service Center at 125 Pacifica, Irvine, Calif., 92618.

FasTrak lets customers drive every toll road and toll bridge in California without stopping to pay a toll; tolls are automatically deducted from their pre-paid accounts. 

All trips taken on the roads during a particular month will be eligible for that month’s drawing only.
