Showers Should Be a Certainty Tonight

Meteorologists are calling for 100 percent chance of rain Friday night.

If meteorologists are to be believed, it's going to get wet and windy. The Weather Channel is projecting a 90 percent chance of rain on Friday during the day, and 100 percent chance on Friday night.

Winds are expected to be 17 mph during the day but 22 mph during the night.

The temperature is expected to reach 62 degrees today with a low of 47, though the high on Saturday will be 56 degrees.

Although showers are expected in the morning on Sunday, it should begin to clear with only a 10 percent chance of rain on Monday. It will be cold, though, with temps dropping into the 38-39 range.

In the extended forecast, there's a 40 percent chance of showers next Wednesday and Thursday.

The snow level will start at about 5,500 feet and drop to about 4,000 feet Saturday morning and to 3,000 feet by Sunday morning, the weather service said. Snowfalls will exceed 18 inches at the highest peaks and 12 to 18 inches at the resort levels.
