Suicidal Airman To Be Buried Saturday in Lake Forest

Adam Razani, the Aliso Viejo man who hinted at suicide in social media before killing himself in Trabuco Canyon, will be laid to rest at El Toro Memorial Park.

Adam Razani, the man who killed himself in Trabuco Canyon earlier this week after leaving messages hinting at his actions on social media, will be laid to rest on Saturday.

Razani was a resident of Aliso Viejo, a 2005 graduate of Aliso Niguel High, and 2008 graduate of Saddleback College. He was 25.

He also recently left the United States Air Force and spent some time earlier this year in Afghanistan.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, 10 a.m., at on Alicia Avenue in Mission Viejo. Burial at in Lake Forest will follow.

An attempt to reach Razani's father, Mike, has been unsuccessful.

of a self-inflicted gunshot, not long after leaving a Facebook message asking forgiveness and then a photo of a handgun on his lap.

The messages and missing persons report led to a large search and rescue beginning about 1:30 p.m.; he was found about five hours later by a K-9 unit on a ridge about 100 yards from his vehicle parked in Trabuco Canyon on Holy Jim Trail.

He also left a countdown on his Twitter account, beginning with "10" then "9" on down to Aug. 21—six days before he actually killed himself. On August 19, he left the message "3 more (expletive) days man (expletive)". On August 20, "Tomorrow is the day... :-/" and on August 20: "Today is the day." There was no indication on his Twitter account what the countdown was in reference to.
