4. Only two days to Momsday at Patch. We're looking for super moms to help create an exciting initiative that will recognize you as the expert that you are in parenting. We're looking for moms (or Mr. Moms) who are dialed in to the best deals, things to do, and how to handle that kid who has a little problem at bedtime. We're looking for a Moms Council, as well as a Whiz Kid of the Week—and, no, that is not a reference to the little problem at bedtime. To learn more, contact editor at martin.henderson@patch.com.

5. If you're a baseball player and born on this date, Jan. 31, you're in good company with Nolan Ryan (64), Mr. Cub Ernie Banks (80) and the late Jackie Robinson (1919), the only man whose number has been retired in more places than the Ryan Express. Hey, let's play two. Others include Justin Timberlake (30), Minnie Driver (40), Carol Channing (90), and the late Suzanne Pleshette (1937), Norman Mailer (1923), Eddie Cantor (1892) and Westerns writer Zane Grey (1872).

For What It's Worth: It's the last day of National Volunteer Blood Donor Month and the first day of Intimate Apparel Week, which for some reason only extends through Thursday. Evidently, you're on your own over the weekend. The last Monday in January is Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day. In a pinch, do you think that could pass for intimate apparel?
