Tributes and Traps in Rancho Santa Margarita

Advice for drivers, the Forsberg case takes a step forward, and a school honors a fallen hero. Also, McCartney's good knight.

1. Our weekly Patch Picks move outside the box—to . Yep, those places where the cops are likely to set up and nab someone driving faster than they're supposed to be driving. Take a look at the list, and let us know if you agree or disagree. Related to that, somewhat, is the Police Blotter. Our favorite call is the guy walking in the street yelling at people to slow down. What do you think, is he the nuisance or is the speeding driver?

2. Students at Melinda Heights Elementary have taken to making posters in honor of Cpl. Jordan Stanton, who was killed last Friday in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. The posters honoring the fallen Marine from RSM currently line Melinda Road near the school. Click .

3. The pretrial hearings are done, and now the murder case against Richard Gustav Forsberg of Rancho Santa Margarita takes a step forward. Forsberg, who is accused of killing his wife, Marcia, will next be at which time some details of the case will be made known.
