Ring, Ring Goes The Bell in CUSD

Gallery: Scenes from the first day of classes in the Capistrano Valley Unified School District.

The 2013-14 school year in the Capistrano Valley Unified School District began Monday morning. That meant crossing guards, lots of directions, new backpacks and lunch boxes and the occasional stuffed animal for security.

Patch hit Arroyo Vista Elementary and Tijeras Creek Elementary to catch kids—and parents—arriving (some of them later than others).

At Tesoro High, arriving students were met with enthusiasm from the school's Cheer and Song teams, as well as other groups.
