Next Top Model: Econ Button Recon

Rancho Santa Margarita Honda offers a private viewing party for customers and executives for the Accord, which has significant differences from the 2012 version.

With invited guests of owner Bob Carmendy, the new model was the featured performer during a four-hour VIP party that included customers who currently own Accords and Civics.

Rancho Santa Margarita Honda, one of the manufacturer's fastest growing dealerships, had its showroom filled with several of the new sedans and coupes as guests milled about them enjoying chocolate covered strawberries, wine and cheese.

Carmendy said the new model is a significant redesign from the 2012 model, but not a drastic departure from previous models in appearance. Though the car is 3 1/2 inches shorter, it sports a roomier interior and a number of technological advances—plus the all-import "Econ" button that's the somewhat comical focus of Honda commercials right now.
