Mi Casa Grand Opening Is Two-Day Affair

Orange County's second such restaurant offers Sonora-style recipes and, this weekend, lots of other things.

Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant and Bar will have its grand opening over two days, Friday and Saturday, in the Kohl's shopping center in Rancho Santa Margarita. The event begins at 4 p.m. on Friday with a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony that includes remarks from town officials, and continues through Saturday night with the band "The Creepers" performing on the patio. The band will begin Saturday, 7 p.m.

Mi Casa is the second such restaurant to open in Orange County. The original was created in 1972, and RSM owner Ryan Moore is a third generation family owner.

Among the opportunities available to patrons during the celebration weekend are drink specials, giveaways, the Dos Equis promo girls and pictures with standups of "the most interesting man in the world."
