Video: BJ's Restaurant Cuts Ribbon, Welcomes Community Involvement

The area's response to the big new restaurant has exceeded the expectations of general manager Matt Smith.

It took four tries, but BJ's Restaurant finally cut the ribbon as part of the Chamber of Commerce's official welcome into the city.

Matt Smith, the general manager of the new restaurant, said he is looking forward to the business being an active member of the local community. Also on hand from Huntington Beach-based BJ's was Kyle Welcher, director of operations.

Three other times there had been attempts to have a ribbon cutting ceremony, but all fell through. That changed on Thursday morning, when Mayor Tony Beall and a couple dozen interested parties listened to speeches and had an early lunch.
