“Rancho Santa Margarita is the perfect area to adopt solar technology, with an abundance of sunshine and high electricity rates year-round,” said Daniel Sullivan, founder and president of Sullivan Solar Power, “Our company is transforming the area into a strong solar community with the Rancho Santa Margarita Solar Program, allowing residents to declare energy independence – and paying you to do it.”

Local residents have been responsive to the Rancho Santa Margarita Solar Program, with multiple families signing up each week. Collectively, more than 92,000 watts of solar power are scheduled to be installed within the community, and the solar penetration is growing. Given the high level of interest in the program, it is predicted by program administrator, Sullivan Solar Power, that an additional 50,000 watts will be scheduled before the program closes on November 15th.

“The more homes that go solar; the better for our planet,” said Rancho Santa Margarita Solar Program participant, Patty Levin, “Our system will pay for itself in four and a half years. Many of neighbors are now motivated to go solar with the RSM Solar Program rebate.”

The program provides Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto De Caza and Dove Canyon property and businesses owners the financial tools to go solar for no money out-of-pocket. In most cases, the new monthly solar payment is significantly less than the utility electric bill that has been eliminated. According to Sullivan, a homeowner with a current electric bill of $234 can go solar with a new monthly payment of $158 per month. In addition, after the system is installed, participants will receive a cash back payment.

In the current phase of program funding, participants in the region are eligible to receive a check up to $2,000. The program ends November 15th at 5:00 p.m. Residents who are interested in learning more about the program can call 1-800-SULLIVAN or visit www.RSMSolarProgram.org to schedule a free site evaluation.
