The City of Rancho Santa Margarita's annual alcohol-free event that takes place at the Civic Plaza complex is free and open to the public.

With local vendors (who are able to participate free) as part of the festivities, and roving entertainers, visual arts, musical entertainment, and opportunities for interactive art activities, it will be difficult for visitors to go home empty-handed or without a special memory.

Magician Steve Spellman begins the event at 5 p.m., in a first-come, first-seated performance in the community center ballroom. Entries in the annual student art contest will be featured.

Among the variety of activities available for children, youth and teens are a video game truck, rock climbing wall, face painting, giant slide, Lego race car building, a 40-foot inflatable obstacle, New Year’s Eve masks and hats, and many more interactive booths and games, including a photo booth.

The event also features a BMX performance.

This is the 12th consecutive year of the event.
