Volunteer Opportunities at Starr Ranch

Helping protect the open land and natural resources in the Rancho Santa Margarita area is one of the most rewarding ways individuals can volunteer their time or provide community service. Meeting on a bi-weekly basis, in 2010 Starr Ranch volunteers cleared nearly three acres of periwinkle from the banks of Bell Creek, surveyed the declining bird population of Cactus Wrens, monitored and banded songbirds, monitor insects and small animals in Bell Creek, and served as fire watch volunteers during high winds. There's always something interesting to do at Starr Ranch to maintain its beauty and help protect its legacy.
