Scholarships for Outstanding High School Seniors- Margot Ferron

The Mission Viejo Activities Committee is proud to offer scholarships to high school seniors again this academic year.  The scholarship applications are available through Jan. 6, 2014.

Eligibility requirements include being a high school senior, a U.S. citizen and 25 hours of volunteer service in Mission Viejo. The scholarships are based on volunteerism in the community, academic achievements, leadership skills, school participation and ability to succeed.

MVAC will award a total of $3,000 in scholarships.  The committee has awarded more than $50,000 since 2001.   MVAC is a group of volunteers who plan many events in Mission Viejo—43nd Annual MVAC Gifts and Goodie Boutique, Up in the Air, July 4th St. Faire and Santa’s Village and Workshop at the Civic Center…..just to name a few.

Anyone within the city of Mission Viejo or the surrounding area is welcome to join MVAC.  There are no dues or fees.   Put your talents to work making this a better and more enjoyable community.  The committee meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.  at Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo, CA 92692.
