IS CHANGE REALLY INEVITABLE?

Democrats should coordinate their messages. President Obama fought his way into the White House on a promise to bring change. Governor Brown of California responds to Toyota's decision to leave the state saying that “change is inevitable”. Really? If change is inevitable, why did we have to vote for a President to bring it? If, on the other hand, change is the product of political leadership, doesn't Governor Brown have to take some responsibility for running Toyota and its jobs out of the state?

The centerpiece of my campaign is a focus on the economy. No matter how those in power attempt to spin it, the economy is a mess. The unemployment rate is far higher than reflected in official reports because government officials keep adjusting the formula so that voters won't be too upset and punish them at the polls. Economic growth is virtually nonexistent. My solution is to find ways to reduce the size of government so that it is no longer a drain on the economy and to free American entrepreneurs so that they can once again help us create new wealth and jobs.

Unfortunately, I cannot attack the problems being created by government in both Washington and Sacramento. I chose to campaign for a seat in Congress and must hope that someone else attacks the problems in California. Please choose wisely on election day. We can afford neither tax-and-spend nor borrow-and-spend politicians. We need to stop borrowing and tax less, and balance state and federal budgets by spending less. There is no other viable solution.
