So my clients are waiting for their health insurance premium reduction notice, after all we were promised by our president that the annual cost for a family would be reduced by at least $2500. The letters that did arrive, increased premiums. The only ones that did not get an increase, were those that were informed that no plan was being offered in their zip code for 2014. Not exactly the plan for saving money they had in mind, let alone the promise of being able to keep their plan if they liked it. Those that did not have a grandfathered plan (in existence on March 23rd, 2010) are seeing their plans discontinued on January 1st, and are being offered different plans, rates and benefits. I guess those are more fortunate than the others in a 'black out' zip code, mostly in Northern California. I sense we are all in for a rough ride, the good news is, everyone is on the ride. Well maybe not the people that have Obamacare named after them, or both houses of congress that have exempted themselves, and perhaps a few VIP's with waivers. O.K. enough sais for now, back later.
