Applied Medical, A Place You Don't Want to Leave—Even When Forced

Rancho Santa Margarita's largest employer calls deputies when a fired worker won't budge.

Applied Medical must be a great place to work. More than a dozen buildings in Rancho Santa Margarita make up the campus, and it is the city's largest employer.

But the rank and file is down one person after a woman was terminated on Thursday. Happens every day, somewhere.

But not at Applied Medical.

According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, deputies were contacted by a security guard when a woman who had been fired remained at the front of the building.

She refused to leave and would not exit the premises.

Apparently, she did not consider moving on an option.

The call was made Thursday, 2:44 p.m., from Applied Medical on the 22800 block of Avenida Empresa.

This report was culled from the Orange County Sheriff's website. Not all facts in each report are made public; the outcome of the report may differ from the original blotter item. There should be no assumption of guilt based on this limited information.
