There might have been an exorcism taking place in a Rancho Santa Margarita apartment, which was fairly disquieting, but a neighbor's concern was spiritually unfounded.

But there were spirits involved.

According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, there was plenty of commotion coming from an apartment on Aliento. An informant called police services because she heard someone in a neighboring unit screaming about a demon, and also heard another woman speaking and saw a man close a window.

When you leave your kids with someone, pick them up

A woman who left her kids with someone got into hot water because she failed to pick them up.

According to the informant, she was asked to care for two children, ages 4 and 7, while their mother looked for new housing. However, after two weeks, the mother did not return for the children and the babysitter had no way to reach her.

Deputies arrested Rebecca Elizabeth Robinson, 31, in Mission Viejo about two hours later. She is at the Women's Intake Release Center and held on $100,000 bail.

All told, Robinson had four children, and according to the babysitter, the woman's 12-year-old child was staying with a friend, and a newborn was at the hospital.
