Date Rape Call Leads to Woman's Arrest for Alleged Burglary, Narcotics

A restaurant worker phones deputies because he fears the woman is about to be raped, but police had warrants out for her arrest.

A caller from Denny's phoned deputies early Monday to say a male patron was harrassing a young intoxicated woman, but officials ended up arresting the woman on burglary and narcotics warrants.

Jordan Rachel Bias, 23, was taken into custody on warrants for second-degree burglary, identity theft, grand theft, receiving stolen property, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotics, possession of opium and being under the influence of drugs, according to police records.

Deputies arrived at the San Clemente restauraunt around 1:18 a.m., after an employee said a man in his 40s was making lewd comments to an intoxicated woman in her late teens or 20s in one of the booths. The caller said the woman could barely sit up, and the man was pushing her head into his lap. The caller worried it was a "date rape situation," according to Sheriff's Department reports.

The restaurant was at the I-5/Avenida Pico junction. According to reports, the woman and man were trying to get into a gray minivan as deputies entered the parking lot. Bias allegedly was unable to stand, and the unidentified man was attempting to prop her up.

Bias, who listed her occupation as bookkeeper in jail records, is scheduled appear in court Tuesday.

OC Gal I suggest you travel a bit. Please move.

@OC Gal, so it's boring AND chaotic?! San Clemente is not known for it's night life, in fact it's known as a "sleepy seaside village". Perhaps you should do some research - it's real easy, go talk to people, read local papers, use Google - before you move someplace.

I have done a lot of digging and research before moving to San Clemente, it is an obvious case of massive positives vs minor negatives. I will be glad to call San Clemente my new home :)
