Alleged Flasher Chased, Nabbed In Rancho Santa Margarita

The man was chased after being spotted outside the window of a Mission Viejo home.

A 44-year-old suspected flasher was behind bars Tuesday after a Mission Viejo woman saw him expose himself and alerted her husband, who suffered minor injuries trying to chase down the suspect, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

Mark Andrew Green was being held without bail on suspicion of indecent exposure, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and obstructing law enforcement, Orange County sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock said.

Monday, about 10 p.m., the unidentified woman looked through a window and saw the man masturbating outside her home in the 23900 block of Juaneno Drive, Hallock said.

The resident's 29-year-old husband chased Green down the block, then jumped into the bed of the suspect's pickup truck to thwart his getaway, the lieutenant said. The suspect jumped out of the vehicle and allegedly assaulted the husband, Hallock said.

Orange County sheriff's deputies were able to track down the truck based on the victim's description of the vehicle. As Green got out of the truck in Rancho Santa Margarita, he spotted the deputies and was arrested following a short pursuit, Hallock said.
