Guns and Crazy Don't Mix

A Rancho Santa Margarita woman continues to make strange phone calls to 9-1-1.

Is there a crazy woman in Rancho Santa Margarita?

A local resident who earlier this week demanded deputies teach her how to shoot a gun—at 4 a.m., mind you—called the Orange County Sheriff's Department Friday night near midnight.

This time, she wanted to know about carrying a concealed weapon.

According to the police blotter of the OCSD, the woman is developing quite a history. She had called on Nov. 23, 2012, for the came reason—carrying a concealed weapon.

Her early morning phone call Wednesday of this week demanded a shooting lesson at her Via Cresta home.

Her call Friday, at 11:55 p.m., requested deputies have "badges and IDs ready" so that she would know they were legitimate.

According to the blotter, it was unknown if the woman actually possesses a firearm.

We hope not.

This report is culled from the Orange County Sheriff's website. Not all facts in each report are made public; the outcome of the report may differ from the original blotter item. There should be no assumption of guilt based on this limited information.
