Have You Seen This Man Wanted for Murder?

Henry Nunez-Godinez is sought by law enforcement for the murder of his roommate in Laguna Hills. They worked together at the same Lake Forest restaurant.

Law enforcement is seeking the public’s in locating a fugitive, even though he may be out of the country. The Orange County Sheriff's Department is hoping the public can guide it to Henry Nunez-Godinez, who is charged with strangling and murdering his roommate and co-worker, sushi chef Chang-Ho Jung. 

Jung was found dead earlier this month in the Laguna Hills apartment they shared. 

Nunez-Godinez is believed to have possibly fled to his native Nicaragua by way of Mexico. He faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison if convicted. A $1 million warrant has been issued for his arrest.

At the time of the murder, Jung, 39, was a sushi chef and the defendant was a restaurant attendant at the same restaurant in Lake Forest. They were also roommates. 

Jung was killed on Dec. 11 in their Laguna Hills apartment. The owners of the sushi restaurant discovered the victim’s body after going to check on him when he failed to show up for work.

Based on the OCSD's investigation, the defendant was charged with the murder on Dec. 26 by the Orange County District Attorney. 

The suspect's vehicle, a black 2005 Volkswagen Jetta with license plate #6KJM618, has also not been located.
