Pedestrians and drivers spotted a man in Rancho Santa Margarita apparently brandishing a weapon from the passenger seat of the car he was in.

According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, a couple of witnesses saw the man in a Honda two-door coupe that was believed to be silver or gray.

One witness, in another vehicle, indicated the man was riding shotgun with a shotgun and pointing it out the window while headed westbound on Santa Margarita Parkway from Plano Trabuco. The suspect was originally seen at the corner of Plano Trabuco and Trabuco Canyon Road.
