Man Kills Himself in O'Neill Regional Park
Park rangers initially thought a bicyclist had crashed. Then they looked a little closer.

An Anaheim man was found dead Tuesday in O'Neill Regional Park in Trabuco Canyon.
Elmer A. Morgan, 61, was discovered by Orange County Park Rangers shortly before 5 p.m. in the Featherly Day Use area in the southern portion of the recreational area off the Trabuco Canyon Road entrance.

The rangers who observed Morgan initially reported a bicyclist was down. However, when they approached him they discovered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A gun was found at the scene.
The call was made to Orange County Sheriff's Department for assistance at 4:54 p.m.
