Man's Lawn Papered With Christmas Trees—A Lot of Them

Kids do the darnedest things, especially after Christmas.

Getting your house toilet-papered is bad enough, but one Rancho Santa Margarita resident got a different wood product on his front lawn.

According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Friday morning was a busy one on Via Solano. Seems some kids were putting Christmas trees on the front lawn of a residence. And not just a couple of trees that had been discarded to the curb.

Turns out the resident had the whole thing on video. He reported to OCSD that his video camera shows kids dumping more than four dozen trees on the front lawn before they were apparently stopped by a deputy who told the kids to knock it off and scram.

The resident, who said the exact total was 54 trees, found no apparent property damage and did not desire to file a police report against the kids who, nevertheless, will be on Santa's naughty list in 2013.
