Nearby Children's Photog Arrested on Suspicion of Molestation

Investigators say a longtime Mission Viejo shutterbug assaulted two girls decades apart.

Orange County Sheriff's deputies arrested a longtime Mission Viejo children’s photographer on suspicion of child molestation, authorities announced on Tuesday.

Isaac Krivashei, 72, who owns Image Maker Photography of Mission Viejo and has been shooting generations of children, was taken into custody Sunday, said sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino.

The investigation was launched after a woman called deputies to allege she was molested by Krivashei 30 years ago when she was between 8 and 12 years old. She also said he molested another child for several years, beginning in 2005 when the child was 7, Amormino said.

Krivashei’s website touts, “We are experts in photographing young children. Our Services include: Elementary School Portraits, Preschool Portraits, Yearbook Production.”

“Because of that and his access to young children, we fear there may be more victims,” said Amormino.

Krivashei, who cannot be prosecuted for the alleged crime involving the tipster because the statute of limitations has expired, was arrested after being questioned, Amormino said.

Krivashei's arraignment has not yet been scheduled, according to the Orange County Superior Court website.

If anyone has additional information, they are asked to contact OCSD at 714-647-7419.
