Police Blotter: Dancing Solicitor Annoys Neighborhood

Also, a woman was thrown out of a taxi cab, and a group of men haul a couch up a hill for a party.

A Rancho Santa Margarita resident, clearly not in a party mood, called Orange County Sheriff deputies because he was unhappy with a salesman on his street.

According to the caller, the man—in his 20s and wearing a yellow shirt and jeans—danced through the neighborhood, getting his groove on as he knocked on doors perhaps solicting.

Deputies could not find the dancing salesman.

The call came in around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, from El Guiro.

Woman thrown from cab by irate driver

A woman claimed that an irate driver threw her from a cab onto the street in front of her Coto de Caza residence early Saturday morning. The driver had left the area before deputies arrived.

The call came in around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, from Prestwick Court.

Men haul couch into hills for a party
An informant noticed four men step out of a red Ford Ranger near Ike Arnold Park Sunday evening. The men took a couch out of the truck and began carrying it into the hills, to an area where parties often occur.

The call came in around 6 p.m. on Sunday, from Lindsay Drive and Robinson Ranch Road.

The following is a summary report of calls from Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon and Las Flores to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from March 3 to March 6.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, on Santa Margarita Parkway and Plano Trabuco Road. An informant noticed a man walking around Econo Lube-n-Tune, checking out the doors and acting strangely.

Disturbance 9:24 p.m. Tuesday, 100 block of Pasto Rico. A caller said a group of intoxicated people were being loud near his residence.

Petty Theft Report 7:04 p.m. Monday, on Eneldo. A man said his phone had been stolen.

Disturbance 1:28 a.m. Sunday, 31900 block of Magpie Street. An informant wanted deputies to look for 20 youths, who were arguing in the middle of the street.

Traffic Stop 12:01 a.m. Sunday, on Altisima and Melinda Road. Deputies arrested a 20-year-old man, who was cited and released from the Intake Release Center.

Disturbance 10:25 p.m. Saturday, 29700 block of Melinda Road. A caller was concerned about a number of people who were fighting at a party.

Assist Outside Agency 9:07 p.m. Saturday, on Oso Parkway and the 241 Toll Road. An informant said people were throwing lemons at passing cars.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 8:18 p.m. Saturday, on Twilight Lane. A caller wanted deputies to look for a shirtless man who approached his vehicle and threatened him.

Assist Outside Agency 3:56 p.m. Saturday, on Beaconsfield. The Orange County Fire Authority needed help with a 72-year-old man who had passed out.

Suspicious Person in Vehicle 2:43 p.m. Saturday, 100 block of Flora del Sol. A caller said two men were smoking marijuana in their vehicle.
