Police Blotter: She Slipped, She Stumbled, She Shopped

Also, two men threaten a woman in front of her residence, and female roommates engage in a drunken late-morning brawl.

An obviously intoxicated woman attracted attention at Ralphs in Rancho Santa Margarita Saturday night, according to a call made to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

An informant was shopping for groceries when he noticed the woman stumbling around the store, trying to make purchases.

Fearing for the woman's safety, and concerned that the woman would be getting into her car and driving away, the informant followed the woman into the parking lot, where she started the engine of her silver Lexus sedan.

Deputies arrived and arrested the 44-year-old woman, who was released after posting bond from the Intake Release Center.

The call came in around 9 p.m. on Saturday, from the 31400 block of Santa Margarita Parkway.

Two men threaten woman in front of her home

Two men yelled at a woman after parking their silver Mercedes sedan in front of a her RSM residence Friday evening. According to the woman, the men threatened her, yelling "We're gonna kill you! You’re going to die."

The woman thought the altercation may have stemmed from a fight that had occurred at a party last week.

The call came in around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, from the 21400 block of Silvertree Lane.

Two drunks don't make a right

An intoxicated informant was involved in a brawl with her drunken female roommate on Saturday morning. Deputies arrived and arrested a 58-year-old woman, who was released after posting bond from the Intake Release Center. The call came in at 11:33 a.m. on Via la Cuesta.

The following is a summary report of calls from Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon and Las Flores to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from February 10 to February 13.

Traffic Accident 11:36 p.m. Monday, on Avenida de las Fundadores and Ama Daisy. A witness saw a red van strike a parked car. The driver then got out of the van and began throwing bottles around. Deputies arrested the 45-year-old man for having a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit. He was cited and released from the Intake Release Center.

Traffic Hazard 7:20 p.m. Monday, on Plano Trabuco Road and Alas del Paz. A woman said her car was splattered with something yellow while driving, and she thought someone was throwing things at passing cars.

Citizen Assist 7:20 p.m. Monday, on Plano Trabuco Road and Rancho Cielo. A caller said another man approached him, saying that he got off the bus at the wrong location and was lost. The man did not know his home address.

Medical Aid 6:48 p.m. Monday, on Wakonda. A woman said her father had taken a lot of pills, and was semi-conscious in his bedroom. Deputies followed an ambulance that transported the man to Mission Hospital.

Warrant Arrest 6:21 p.m. Monday, on Wild Horse Loop. Deputies arrested a 32-year-old man, who was released after posting bond from the Intake Release Center.

Investigate a Person Down 11:37 a.m. Sunday, Via Amistosa. A woman said she saw a man laying on the ground near a dumpster.

Disturbance 9:33 p.m. Saturday, 21200 block of Meander Lane. A woman said she was in an argument with her soon-to-be-ex-husband, and he had taken her phone from her.

Petty Theft 7:10 p.m. Saturday, 30600 block of Santa Margarita Parkway. Two youths were caught shoplifting at Target. The teens were released to their parents.

Disturbance 1:00 p.m. Saturday, 21500 block of Plano Trabuco Road. A man said another man was standing in front of Econo Lube and Tune, trying to pick fights with employees.

Traffic Stop 3:34 p.m. Saturday, on Alicia Parkway and Santa Margarita Parkway. Deputies arrested a 21-year-old man, who was cited and released from the Intake Release Center.

Traffic Accident 1:37 a.m. Saturday, on Melinda Road and Via Regressos. A witness said a minivan had crashed into a light pole, and the van had caught fire.

Disturbance 5:18 p.m. Friday, 22300 block of El Paseo. A caller saw two men in their fifties were arguing in the 24-Hour Fitness parking lot.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 3:29 p.m. Friday, 21300 block of Avenida de las Flores. A man said his daughter was riding her bike home from school, and a man in a white pickup truck tried to get her to pull over.

Investigate a Person Down 11:57 a.m. Friday, on Antonio Parkway and Benjamin Drive. A caller wanted someone to check on a woman who, after getting out of her Mercedes, was on the ground clutching her stomach. Deputies were informed that the woman was upset because she was having car troubles.

Pedestrian Check 10:53 a.m. Friday, on Via Ermitas and Via Solaz. Deputies arrested a 25-year-old man, who is being held without bail at the Intake Release Center.
