Police Blotter: Soccer Dad Causes a Scene

Also, a woman's ex-husband tries to break down her door, and an intoxicated driver hits a median and loses his bumper.

We all know about Little League Dads, but those who are on the soccer field can be just as outrageous.

An out-of-control father caused a scene on the Rancho Santa Margarita Intermediate soccer field Saturday morning, according to a call made to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department by the game’s referee.

According to the referee, the Soccer Dad was very aggressive on the field before walking toward the parking lot a few minutes later.

The referee wasn't the only adult who was concerned. The team’s coach called the OCSD later that afternoon because he was concerned about the father arriving to collect his son.

The first call came in around 9 a.m. on Saturday, and the second call came in around 3 p.m. on Saturday. Both calls originated from the 21900 block of Alma Aldea.

Intoxicated man slams Honda into median, loses bumper

A witness reported seeing a man slam his dark-colored Honda into a center divider while driving northbound on Antonio Parkway early Sunday morning. According to the informant, the impact tore off the car’s bumper.

The man drove into Tijeras Creek Golf Course. Deputies caught up to him and administered a blood-alcohol test, which he failed. The 47-year-old man was arrested and is being held on $10,000 bail at the Central Mens Jail.

The call came in around 4 a.m. on Sunday, from Antonio Parkway and Tijeras Creek.

Angry ex-husband tries to break down woman's door

A woman said her ex-husband was trying to break down the front door of her Coto de Caza home Sunday night. The woman and her son were holding the door, and could hear the man breaking things on the front porch.

The woman called back a few minutes later, saying that the man had given up and was probably on the way to his girlfriend’s house.

The call came in around 9 p.m. on Sunday, from Rue Cezanne.

The following is a summary report of calls from Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon and Las Flores to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from November 4 to November 7.

Traffic Stop 8:44 a.m. Monday, on Santa Margarita Parkway and Antonio Parkway. Deputies arrested a 32-year-old man, who is being held without bail at the Central Mens Jail.

Disturbance 2:48 a.m. Monday, on Lexington Way. A man said an intoxicated woman kept coming into his bedroom to harass him.

Suspicious Person in Vehicle 1:54 a.m. Monday, 200 block of Encantado Canyon. A caller was concerned about a woman, who was sitting inside her white Mercedes SUV. The woman appeared intoxicated. The informant called back five minutes later, reporting that the woman was trying to put the SUV into gear, and looked extremely drunk. Deputies caught up to the 47-year-old woman and arrested her after she failed a blood test. She was cited and released at the Intake Release Center.

Family Dispute 12:22 a.m. Monday, 32900 block of Pinnacle Drive. A woman said her husband kept putting his hands into her mouth and on her face. The desk could hear people yelling on the phone, saying she was lying. Deputies arrived and arrested a 35-year-old man, who is being held on $10,000 bail at the Central Mens Jail.

Welfare Check 7:32 p.m. Sunday, 30600 block of Santa Margarita Parkway. A caller said there was an elderly man inside McDonald’s that appeared confused.

Citizen Assist 9:51 a.m. Sunday, on Aloysia. A man found a bong on the street outside of his residence. He threw it in the garbage.

Family Dispute 11:46 p.m. Saturday, on Stampede Street. A man said his 25-year-old son was hitting him.

Welfare Check 11:01 p.m. Saturday, 22100 block of El Paseo. A woman was worried that a man was taking advantage of an intoxicated woman because she saw them having sex at Central Park.

Disturbance 10:28 p.m. Saturday, 22400 block of Alma Aldea. A man said his girlfriend hit him in the face. He admitted that both of them had been drinking that evening. Deputies arrived and arrested a 21-year-old woman, who was released after posting bond from the Intake Release Center.

Disturbance 8:26 p.m. Saturday, on Santa Margarita Parkway and Plano Trabuco Road. A caller said an intoxicated man was harassing customers outside of Los Primos Mexican Food.

Suspicious Person in Vehicle 4:38 a.m. Saturday, 23200 block of Arroyo Vista. Deputies arrested a 21-year-old man, who was released after posting bond from the Theo Lacy Facility.

Disturbance 2:41 a.m. Saturday, 20500 block of Porter Ranch Road. A woman said her male neighbor yelled at her as she pulled into her driveway. The man may have been upset because the woman called Animal Control about his dog recently, according to the caller.

Disturbance 10:29 a.m. Saturday, on Antonio Parkway and Coto de Caza Drive. A man in a black Audi was blocking the Coto de Caza gate, refusing to leave as he argued with a security officer.

Citizen Assist 12:05 a.m. Saturday, on Via Ermitas. A man said someone was tampering with his construction cone pattern while making threatening comments toward him.

Disturbance 10:43 p.m. Friday, on Avenida de los Fundadores and Santa Margarita Parkway. A caller said kids were throwing glass bottles onto the street before running inside a nearby apartment. According to the caller, there was a large amount of broken glass on the street.

Pedestrian Check 6:54 p.m. Friday, on Santa Agatha and San Marco. Deputies arrested a 41-year-old man, who is being held without bail at the Central Mens Jail.

Petty Theft Report 8:03 a.m. Friday, 100 block of Via Contento. A woman reported that someone had stolen the catalytic converter from her vehicle.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 7:29 a.m. Friday, on Aventura and Calle Corta. A woman said a homeless person was camping on a trail near Mission Hills Church.
