Police Blotter: Knife-Wielding Carjackers At Large in Las Flores

Also, a drunken woman wanders into traffic to ask for money, teens repeatedly egg a woman's home, and a suspected daily screaming match is just a man trying to communicate with his hearing-impaired parents.

A couple of carjackers are apparently roaming Las Flores.

A woman and her boyfriend were in the parking lot of their Las Flores apartment complex late Monday evening when two-knife wielding men approached the vehicle, demanding that the woman hand over her car.

The woman and her boyfriend fled the vehicle, and after the woman screamed, the two suspects fled the parking lot. A witness said one of the suspects ran toward the next apartment building, but deputies were unable to locate them.

Teens repeatedly egg woman’s RSM home

A woman said that a group of teens in a dark blue SUV were repeatedly throwing eggs at her residence. After the teens egged her house for the second time that evening, the woman said that she had obtained the license plate number of the SUV.

The first call came in around 8 p.m. and the second call came in around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, from the 21400 block of Silvertree Lane.

Hearing-impaired parents can't hear him, but the neighbor can

A woman from the Villa La Paz apartments thought she heard a drunken man in an adjacent apartment yelling at his mother. She said the arguments happen nearly every day. She said she also heard a five-year-old child crying in the apartment.

Deputies determined that there was no arguing going on in the apartment. The man, who was not intoxicated, uses Skype to talk to his family every day, and must speak loudly, because his parents are hard of hearing. No child was present in the residence.

The call came in around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, from Via Amistosa.
