Police Blotter: Man Punched by Roommate After Serving 30-Day Notice

Also, a woman saw a deer try to cross Santa Margarita Parkway with two fawns.

You've heard of the roommate from hell? Well, try getting rid of him.

A Rancho Santa Margarita man received a harsh response from his roommate early Sunday morning when he served the man with a 30-day notice to vacate their shared residence.

According to the informant, after serving the notice, the roommate took a swing at the man before storming off. When Orange County Sheriff deputies arrived, the roommate had not returned.

The call came in around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, from Via Jolitas.

A woman was concerned about a female deer she saw crossing Santa Margarita Parkway in RSM early Friday morning. She was worried that another vehicle would hurt the deer or her two fawns.

The call came in around 7:30 a.m. on Friday, from Santa Margarita Parkway and the 241 Toll Road.

The following is a summary report of calls from Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon and Las Flores to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from November 29 to December 2.

Disturbance 8:06 p.m. Friday, 100 block of Via Serena. A woman was involved in a physical fight with her boyfriend, who left their residence in his silver BMW. Deputies arrested the 19-year-old woman, who is being held on $50,000 bail at the Intake Release Center.

General Broadcast 6:57 p.m. Friday, on Melinda Road and Santa Margarita Parkway. Deputies were looking for a woman driving a black convertible Volkswagen Beetle. The Beetle had been swerving all over the road, nearly crashing into three other vehicles. Deputies caught up to the 46-year-old woman and arrested her for having a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit. She was cited and released from the Intake Release Center.

Disturbance 6:39 p.m. Friday, 23300 block of Arroyo Visa. A caller said four boys jumped over the side fence into Arroyo Vista Elementary, and were knocking over garbage cans.

Traffic Stop 8:11 a.m. Friday, on Rosa and Flora del Mar. Deputies arrested a 28-year-old man who is being held on $15,000 bail at the Central Mens Jail.

Disturbance 8:53 p.m. Thursday, 100 block of Montana del Lago Drive. A woman said someone had sent her a mean, anti-religious text message.

Disturbance—Music or Party 8:43 p.m.Thursday, on Flora de Mar. A woman complained about loud music coming from a nearby garage.

Traffic Hazard 7:59 p.m. Thursday, on Arroyo Vista and Avenida de las Banderas. A caller said tree debris was blocking the southbound lane of Arroyo Vista.

Traffic Stop 7:52 p.m. Thursday, on Melinda Road and San Gabriel. Deputies arrested a 30-year-old man, who was released after posting bond from the Central Mens Jail.

Citizen Assist 1:36 p.m. Thursday, on San Gabriel. A woman said her boss had been abusing her.

Traffic Hazard 7:19 a.m. Thursday, on Alumbre. A man said a 30-foot tree had fallen on his Toyota.

Warrant Arrest 9:09 p.m. Wednesday, on Via Amistosa. Deputies arrested a 45-year-old man who is being held without bail at the Central Mens Jail.

Assist Outside Agency 8:17 p.m. Wednesday, on Via Amistosa. The Orange County Fire Authority needed assistance with a 53-year-old man who had ceased breathing. The man had been pronounced dead when deputies arrived. It appeared that the death occurred due to natural causes.

Disturbance 7:22 p.m. Wednesday, on Wild Horse Loop. A woman said someone had spray-painted her van.

Disturbance 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, on Santa Gustavo. A man said his 16-year-old son pushed him to the ground during an argument about homework issues.

Assist Outside Agency 4:24 p.m. Wednesday, on Via Amistosa. A woman said her male neighbor was yelling that he was in pain.

Lost Property 10:51 a.m. Wednesday, on Moccasin Trail. A woman said she had lost her iPhone.

Suspicious Vehicle 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, on Dusty Trail. A man said he came home to find a car parked in his driveway. The car was occupied by two men.

Disturbance 5:38 p.m. Tuesday, on Abilene Drive. A woman said her husband’s ex-wife was at her front door, screaming and yelling.

Annoying Phone Call 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, on Radiance Lane. An informant said a man kept calling him to try to sell him computer software.

Disturbance 3:53 p.m. Tuesday, on Los Alisos Boulevard and Altisima. A caller said two people were fighting because a dog was off its leash.

Burglary in Progress 12:17 p.m. Tuesday, 30600 block of Santa Margarita Parkway. Deputies arrested a 48-year-old man, who was released on his own recognizance from the Intake Release Center.

Traffic Stop 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, on Buena Suerte and Santa Margarita Parkway. Deputies arrested a 50-year-old man who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
