Police Blotter: Suspicion of DUI for CEO

Also, kids play with fire, a truck repeatedly smashes into parked vehicles, three men beat up another man, and a woman says her neighbor soaked her cockapoo.

A Dana Point woman who is CEO of a Kansas City-based moving company and a former president of an Orange County mortgage banking firm was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of drunken driving.

Authorities said that on Saturday evening, an eastbound driver on Santa Margarita Parkway reported trailing a white Range Rover that  appeared to have an impaired driver. Deputies found and stopped the Range Rover and arrested Serene Francie Rosenberg, 34, chief executive officer for Build My Move LLC.

Rosenberg posted bond the following morning and was released from the Women's Intake Release Center in Santa Ana.

According to court records, in February Rosenberg pleaded guilty to a March 16, 2010, charge of driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 percent or more; she was sentenced to three years' probation, serve in a nine-month first-offenders alcohol program and take part in a Mothers Against Drunk Driving Victim's Impact Panel.

The call came in at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kids light cardboard on fire near dumpster

The Orange County Fire Authority needed assistance with a call from a Rancho Santa Margarita resident early Sunday evening. According to the caller, three kids took several pieces of cardboard out of the dumpsters near his residence and lit them on fire before fleeing the scene.

The captain on duty was able to find and detain the youths, and a deputy from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department returned them to their parents.

The call came in around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, from Via Meseta.

Truck repeatedly smashes into parked vehicles

A witness saw a white pickup truck driving slowly down Laurel Road in Rancho Santa Margarita Saturday evening, smashing into parked vehicles. The caller said the truck hit the same parked car several times.

Deputies arrived and detained the driver of the truck.

The call came in around 10 p.m. on Saturday, from Via Ricardo and Laurel Road.

Three men beat up another man near the RSM lake

An informant saw three men beat up another man near a bench at the RSM lake Saturday evening. Deputies arrived and patrolled the entire lake area, but were unable to locate the suspects.

The call came in around 8 p.m. on Saturday, from Santa Margarita Parkway and Avenida de los Fundadores.

Woman says neighbor soaked her cockapoo

A Rancho Santa Margarita woman said someone had sprayed her cockapoo with water. The woman was concerned that her dog would contract an ear infection, and demanded that a deputy come out and assist her.

The call came in around 8 p.m. on Saturday, from Via Zapador.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 9:55 p.m. Monday, on Paulownia. A caller said a dog was barking at a nearby house, which is supposed to be vacant.

Disturbance 9:14 p.m. Monday, 1200 block of Sable. A woman from Archstone Apartments said her upstairs neighbors intentionally pound on their floor and allow their children to run and jump, and they are aggressive when she approaches them or calls security.

Warrant Arrest 8:37 p.m. Monday, 100 block of Via Vicini. Deputies arrested a 37-year-old man, who is being held on $15,000 bail at the Central Mens Jail.

Vandalism Report 4:26 p.m. Monday, 22700 block of El Prado. A man said his white Ford Explorer had been keyed.

Citizen Assist 3:57 p.m. Monday, on Calle Ranchera. A woman said her 8-year-old daughter had been attacked by another eight-year-old student.

ID Theft 2:47 p.m. Monday, on Brisa Fresca. A woman said her bank card was stolen in Los Angeles County.

Traffic Stop 11:54 a.m. Monday, on Santa Margarita Parkway and the 241 toll road. Deputies arrested a 56-year-old man, who was released after posting bail at the Intake Release Center.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 10:59 a.m. Monday, on Honeysuckle Street and Las Amigas Drive. A caller said two unfamiliar people were smoking near a white Dodge truck.

Traffic Stop 6:58 a.m. Monday, on Antonio Parkway and Santa Margarita Parkway. Deputies arrested a 32-year-old man, who is being held without bail at the Central Mens Jail.

Disturbance 3:00 a.m. Monday, on Lexington Way. A woman said her boyfriend was being verbally abusive and she wanted him removed from their residence.

Disturbance-Music or Party 1:48 a.m. Monday, on Via Amistosa. A caller said people were being loud and playing music at a nearby residence.

Disturbance 9:46 p.m. Sunday, on Coralino. A woman said the neighbor who lives above her was stomping on her floor, preventing her from sleeping.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 6:12 p.m. Sunday, on Bloomfield Lane. A caller said a man crossed the street and yelled at him and his daughter.

Vandalism in Progress 4:32 p.m. Sunday, on Oso Parkway and Antonio Parkway. An informant saw a man tagging near Cosmos Restaurant.

Pedestrian Check 4:23 p.m. Sunday, on Santa Margarita Parkway and Interchange Plaza. Deputies arrested a 33-year-old woman, who was released after posting bond from the Intake Release Center.

Citizen Assist 2:38 p.m. Sunday, on Lyra Way. A woman said her 10-year-old had received a pornographic text message.

Disturbance-Auto Involved 1:43 p.m. Sunday, on Mirabella. A caller complained about loud music coming from a Range Rover.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 12:05 a.m. Sunday, on Antonio Parkway and Tijeras Creek. An informant wanted deputies to look for a man who was screaming as he ran down Antonio Parkway with his hands in the air.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 10:14 p.m. Saturday, on Via Amistosa. A caller from the Villa La Paz apartments wanted deputies to look for four men who were loitering outside of his unit.

Traffic Hazard 8:29 a.m. Saturday, on Santa Margarita Parkway and San Sebastian. A caller said a group of deer were walking on Santa Margarita Parkway.

Traffic Stop 2:25 a.m. Saturday, on Santa Margarita Parkway and Avenida de las Flores. Deputies arrested a 38-year-old man who was cited and released from the Intake Release Center.

Disturbance 9:29 p.m. Friday, on Avenida de las Flores and Buena Suerte. A caller wanted deputies to search Monte Vista Park for a group of intoxicated youths who were breaking bottles near the playground area.
