Police Blotter: Man's Grisly Tales Get Him Banned from Restaurant

Also, an informant sees kids jump off a building and thinks they should be wearing helmets.

The manager of Pick Up Stix in Las Flores said a trenchcoat-clad man from Rancho Santa Margarita came into the restaurant Monday night and scared employees and customers with his tales about killing people. The man often comes into the restaurant, according to the manager, and refuses to leave when asked.

A woman working at the restaurant Tuesday evening told the man he was not permitted to enter the establishment anymore, and he would be arrested for trespassing if he returned.

The first call came in around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, from the 28500 block of Oso Parkway. The second call came in around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, from Oso Parkway and Antonio Parkway.

Man sees kids jump off building without helmets
A caller claimed he saw four youths jumping off a Rancho Santa Margarita building Tuesday afternoon. The caller was concerned because the kids weren’t wearing helmets.

Deputies investigated and while they saw a crew working on the building, they weren’t able to locate any juveniles.

The call came in around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, from the 22100 block of El Paseo.

The following is a summary report of calls from Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon and Las Flores to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from November 15 to November 17.

Disturbance 8:29 a.m. Wednesday, on Terracaleta. A man and his ex-wife were arguing about furniture.

Disturbance 9:41 p.m. Tuesday, 1200 block of Sable. A caller said a man and a woman were fighting in a nearby apartment.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 9:04 p.m. Tuesday, on Radiance Lane. A caller said a car full of people waited outside of a known drug house in the neighborhood, while one man went up to the door. Deputies could find no suspicious activity.

Disturbance 3:24 p.m. Tuesday, 31400 block of Santa Margarita Parkway. A caller said another man pushed him after an argument they had in front of Ralphs. Deputies detained a man on the side of the store before releasing him.

Disturbance 2:06 p.m. Tuesday, on Calle de los Ninos. An informant said several youths were throwing rocks at his home before running away.

Welfare Check 8:09 a.m. Tuesday, on Oso Parkway and Antonio Parkway. A caller said a man was slumped over the steering wheel inside his Volvo sedan. Deputies arrived and determined that the man’s vehicle had run out of fuel.

Citizen Assist 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, 21000 block of Briarwood Lane. A man said his neighbors had put their trash cans too close to his daughter’s vehicle.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 2:44 a.m. Tuesday, on Michener Lane. A woman thought someone was trying to break into her house because she heard a strange noise in her backyard.
