Police Blotter: Girl Breaks Into Boys Town, Nabs Rx Meds

Also, a group of men throw large objects at a vehicle and shatter the windshield.

A 16-year-old girl in Trabuco Canyon broke in to Boys Town on Thursday afternoon, according to a call made to the Orange County Sheriff's Dept.

The informant said that the girl broke one of the office windows, climbed inside, and stole a set of keys held by an employee.

The girl used the keys to open a locker that contained prescription medication. Once she had access, she began taking pills immediately.

The employee tried to restrain the girl but was unsuccessful.

Deputies arrived and, about an hour after the original call, the girl was transported to Mission Hospital.

The location is actually home to Girls and Boys Town of Southern California—though commonly referred to as Boys Town—where it houses troubled youth.

The call came in around 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, from the 20300 block of Flanagan Road.

Men throw large objects and shatter SUV windshield

A man said a group of men threw a large object at the windshield of his red Chevrolet Suburban, which was parked outside of the parking lot of the lake in Rancho Santa Margarita Wednesday afternoon. The object shattered his window. The suspects were last seen running into the Villas Antonio.

The call came in around 2:26 p.m. on Friday, on El Camino Montana and Avenida de las Flores.

Domestic Violence 11:34 p.m. Saturday, on Paseo del Sol. A woman said her boyfriend had handcuffed her and put tape over her mouth.

Disturbance 4:22 p.m. Saturday, 22700 block of Avenida Empresa. A man said there was an angry customer in the showroom of Toyota of RSM.

Citizen Assist 11:07 a.m. Saturday, 22100 block of El Paseo. A woman wanted to turn in her daughter’s drug paraphernalia.

Traffic Hazard 8:57 a.m. Saturday, on Antonio Parkway and Avenida Empresa. A caller said that a manhole cover on Antonio Parkway was broken, so there was an open sewer hole in the road.

Disturbance 7:25 a.m. Saturday, on Avenida de las Flores and Santa Margarita Parkway. A woman said her husband pulled the steering wheel of her Hyundai while she was driving, trying to make her crash because he was angry with her.

Hit and Run Misdemeanor 12:26 a.m. Saturday, on Via Meseta. A woman in a white Honda CR-V struck a light pole before fleeing the scene. She then returned and was circling the parking lot. Deputies arrested the 52-year-old woman, who was cited and released from the Intake Release Center.

Disturbance 8:43 p.m. Friday, 22700 block of El Prado. A woman was arguing with her downstairs neighbor. Deputies arrived and arrested a 20-year-old man, who had an outstanding warrant for arrest. He is being held without bail at the Central Mens Jail.

Disturbance 7:05 p.m. Friday, 22700 block of El Prado. A woman said her neighbors constantly scream at her and throw their beer cans and other trash out of their windows into the courtyard.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 12:25 a.m. Friday, on Calle de los Grabados. A man saw another man using a tool to pry open windows of vehicles parked in a condominium parking lot.

Disturbance 3:49 p.m. Thursday, 22100 block of El Paseo. Four men were yelling vulgar sexual comments and obscenities at people, according to an informant.

Grand Theft Report 8:48 a.m. Thursday, 1800 block of Calellen Court. A man said someone had stolen his bicycle.

Disturbance 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, 22400 block of Antonio Parkway. An informant said a drunken man was arguing with customers and employees inside Pavillions.

Family Dispute 7:29 p.m. Wednesday, on Via Cresta. A caller heard a 14-year-old tell his father to stop hitting him.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, on Briarwood Lane and Robinson Ranch Road. A caller saw a large number of underaged kids bringing alcohol into a community pool area.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, 100 block of Morning Glory. An informant said a drunken man on a bicycle hit his truck before taking off. The man then returned without his bike and was moaning as if he was in pain. He then took off on foot.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 5:44 p.m. Tuesday, 22700 block of El Prado. A caller said a teenager was smoking marijuana on a park bench before falling asleep.

Suspicious Person in Vehicle 12:46 p.m. Tuesday, on Via Bandada. A caller said a man was undressing in his car.

Disturbance 1:01 a.m. Tuesday, on Via Amistosa. A caller was annoyed by people who were playing a loud ping-pong game in the garages below his unit.
