Police Blotter: Woman Followed After Road Rage Incident

Also, a woman tries to stand up for canine rights in the McDonald's parking lot, and a woman reading a message board found a threatening post by her next-door neighbor.

A motorcyclist circled though the parking lot at the in Rancho Santa Margarita early Wednesday yelling obscenities and threatening a woman.

She ducked into the drugstore to hide, but told Orange County Sheriff deputies that she was involved in a road rage incident with the man, who continued circling the parking lot even after she ran into the store.

By the time deputies arrived, the motorcyclist had left the scene.

The call came in around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, from Antonio Parkway and La Promesa.

A man said an angry woman would not let him enter his vehicle so that he could leave the McDonald’s parking lot in RSM Wednesday evening. The woman went on the offensive because the man had left his dog in his vehicle while he went inside to eat. The caller described the woman as middle-aged and heavyset, and she repeatedly blocked the man from opening his car doors. Deputies arrived to settle the dispute.

The call came in about 6 p.m. on Wednesday, from El Paseo and Santa Margarita Parkway.

Woman reads message board, sees threat aimed at her by neighbor

A woman was reading an online message board at her RSM home Tuesday afternoon when she spotted a post by her next-door neighbor. The post, along with other posts from other people familiar to the woman, had indicated that her neighbor wanted to beat her up. 

The woman admitted to having a recent argument with this particular neighbor. Although she didn’t want to file a police report, she wanted this post to be on record in case she was assaulted by the neighbor in the future.

The call came in around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, from Aliento.

The following is a summary report of calls from Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon and Las Flores to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from May 10 to May 12.

Prowler 1:59 a.m. Thursday, on Via Terracaleta. A woman said the burglar alarm at her residence went off, and she thought someone had come in through one of her windows. Deputies investigated but could find no trace of any prowlers.

Disturbance—Music or Party 11:17 p.m. Wednesday, 22400 block of Alma Aldea. A caller said people were being loud in the community pool after closing time.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 7:46 p.m. Wednesday, on Vista Sabana. A caller said two teen-aged boys were trying to open the doors of parked vehicles.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 6:41 p.m. Wednesday, on Morning Trail and Oso Parkway. A caller reported seeing a woman asking drivers for a ride.

Pedestrian Check 6:38 p.m. Wednesday, on Plano Trabuco Road and Las Amigas. Deputies arrested a 26-year-old man.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances 4:49 p.m. Wednesday, on Santa Margarita Parkway and Antonio Parkway. A caller said a man wearing a hard hat was talking to two young women while holding a tall beer at a bus stop.

Suspicious Person in Vehicle 10:28 a.m. Wednesday, on San Sebastian. A caller said a man drove a dirty green pickup truck up and down her street several times.

Disturbance 2:13 a.m. Wednesday, on Eneldo. An informant said several people were intoxicated and fighting in front of his residence.

Disturbance 11:24 p.m. Tuesday, on Santa Margarita Parkway and Antonio Parkway. An informant reported seeing a man arguing with people on the street while carrying a case of beer.

Suspicious Person in Vehicle 7:11 p.m. Tuesday, 100 block of Calle de los Ninos. A caller saw a man sleeping in his black Honda Prelude with the engine running.

Suspicious Person in Vehicle 4:21 p.m. Tuesday, 28500 block of Oso Parkway. A woman said she thought a man sitting in his green Cadillac was a drug dealer, because people kept walking up to the vehicle and making quick transactions before leaving. 

Grand Theft Report 2:18 p.m.Tuesday, on Calle del Norte. A man said someone stole jewelry from his residence.

Patrol Check 1:17 a.m. Tuesday, 24200 block of Fairway Lane. A woman thought her neighbors were making heroin at their house because she could detect a “narcotic fume” coming from their residence.
